Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Bomi Academy is operated by Lukas Kaeb, Altenhoeferallee 70, 60438 Frankfurt, Germany. Contact: hello@bomi.academy.

2. The service

Bomi Academy helps tutors manage assignments, submissions, rubric-aware feedback drafts, study materials, and parent updates. AI output is a draft aid only. Tutors remain responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving anything shared with students or parents.

3. Guided Evaluation and billing

When enrollment is open, a new tutor may deliberately start one free 30-day Guided Evaluation after basic setup. No card is required, the evaluation never converts automatically, and doing nothing creates no charge or debt.

After the evaluation, a tutor with a German billing address may choose a EUR 39 monthly Founding Tutor subscription through hosted Stripe Checkout. The price includes VAT where applicable under the confirmed tax treatment. One subscription covers one named tutor and authorized linked student and parent accounts. There is no minimum term, cancellation fee, promotion code, annual commitment, per-student fee, or metered AI charge. Normal AI and storage use is included under qualitative Fair Use.

Verified payment events—not browser redirects—activate access. Payment collection remains unavailable until Bomi explicitly announces that enrollment and Germany-first continuation are open.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping login details secure and for using the service only for lawful tutoring, learning, and parent communication. Do not upload content you do not have permission to process, attempt to access another tutor's data, or use Bomi Academy for spam, harassment, or automated abuse.

5. Students, parents, and consent

Tutors are responsible for inviting the right students and parents and for ensuring they have the necessary authority or consent to use the platform for minors. Parents may exercise data rights for linked children through the parent portal or by contacting us.

6. Your content

Tutors, students, and parents keep ownership of the materials they upload or write. We process that content only to operate the service, provide requested AI drafting features, maintain security, and meet legal obligations described in the privacy policy.

7. Availability and changes

Bomi Academy may change as the service develops. We aim to keep the service reliable, but features may be changed, limited, or removed when needed for safety, compliance, or product quality.

8. Cancellation, payment failure, and ending access

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Full access continues through the already-paid period. A standard cancellation does not create an automatic partial-month refund; statutory remedies and a documented remedy for a genuine Bomi service failure remain available.

An established subscription whose renewal fails receives exactly seven days of full access to resolve payment. A failed first payment receives no grace. At the end of an evaluation or paid period, the workspace becomes read-only for 90 days: authorized historical views and export remain, while new tutoring, learning, and communication activity is blocked. Successful payment inside that window restores the same workspace. After 90 days it is archived with narrow account, billing-record, export, deletion-request, and supported-recovery controls. Archival is an access restriction, not blanket deletion.

We may also suspend or end access if an account creates security risk, violates these terms, or uses the service in a way that puts student or parent data at risk.
